The Jolly Christmas Postman (Reception and KS1)

Time for a chilly challenge in this festive virtual session.

  • About this virtual session:

Deliver festive cheer at the busiest time of year! Discover Christmas traditions through time and journey door to door through wind, rain and snow to deliver Season’s greetings to familiar fairy tale characters whatever the weather.

Use song, rhyme and Makaton signs to bring the story to life and become a team of jolly posties.

    Students will:

    • Experience how Christmas cards and parcels are collected, sorted and delivered.
    • Make connections with characters from traditional tales.
    • Recognise different Christmas traditions and explore how the seasons affect the job of a postal worker
