  • Concession (60+ and students) – Must show valid ID on the day to gain entry.
  • Disabled adult / disabled child – Includes a free companion ticket. Companions get free entry to all exhibitions and a ride on Mail Rail.
  • Royal Mail staff – Available to current employees only. For free entry, you must book in advance. Show valid ID on the day to gain entry.

Exhibitions only

  • Adult (16+) – One adult Exhibitions only ticket includes entry for up to four accompanying children.
  • Child (1-15) – Children under 1 do not require a ticket.
  • Concession (60+ and students) – Must show valid ID on the day to gain entry.
  • Disabled adult / disabled child -Includes a free companion ticket. Companions get free entry to all exhibitions, including the Accessible Mail Rail Show.

Sorted! only

  • Child (0-8) – Ticket valid only during your chosen 45 minute time slot.

A limited number of walk up tickets are available to purchase from The Postal Museum and Mail Rail ticket desks from 10.00 every day. You can only purchase walk up tickets on the same day you will be visiting. Check ticket availability online before you visit.

Refunds and changes in tickets are only given in extraordinary situations. Read our ticket terms and conditions for more information. If you are eligible for a refund, please get in touch using our contact form.

  1. Click on the ‘Buy tickets’ button under General Admission on this page to book your tickets.
  2. After choosing the date and time of your visit, select ‘Add to shopping cart’.
  3. You will be directed to your Shopping cart. Click on ‘Add additional tickets’ at the bottom of the page.
  4. Add your Sorted! tickets for the same day of your visit. The discount will automatically be applied for each child.

The Postal Museum is a charity and relies on donations. You can help us reach more schools and community groups through our charitable work by adding a small amount to your ticket price.

Adding a voluntary donation only increases the ticket price by £0.95 – £1.55 depending on your type of ticket. With your support, we can continue to deliver exciting experiences and care for our collections.

Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you pay at no cost to you. You have the option to add Gift Aid when booking your tickets.

To qualify for Gift Aid you must:

  • be a UK tax payer
  • have paid the same amount or more in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in that tax year
  • agree to Gift Aid being claimed.

Visitors with a National Art Pass have free entry to exhibitions at The Postal Museum (excludes Mail Rail Ride). To secure a slot on the Mail Rail Ride for the top up price of £6.25 please book online, this will also include free entry to the exhibition. You will need to bring a valid National Art Pass with you to gain entry on your ticket.

If you only wish to visit the exhibition please speak to a member of staff at our till points to collect an Exhibition only ticket. No pre booking required, just show a valid National Art Pass.

You can also top up to ride Mail Rail at the Museum on the day of your visit (subject to availability).
