Can I get a refund or exchange my ticket?

Refunds and changes in tickets are only given in extraordinary situations. Read our ticket terms and conditions for more information.

Are walk up tickets available?

Walk up tickets are available to purchase from The Postal Museum ticket desks from 10.00 every day. You can only purchase walk up tickets on the same day you will be visiting. Walk up tickets are not available from the Mail Rail ticket desk.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you pay at no cost to you.

To qualify for Gift Aid you must:

  • be a UK tax payer
  • have paid the same amount or more in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in that tax year
  • agree to Gift Aid being claimed.

Why should I add a voluntary donation to my ticket price?

Adding a donation only increases the ticket price by less than £1. With your small donation, we can claim Gift Aid at no additional cost or hassle to you, and continue to care for our collections and deliver exciting experiences to you.

What are the different ticketing types?

General Admission

  • Adult (16+)
  • Child (1-15) – Children under 1 do not require a ticket.
  • Concession (60+ and students) – Must show valid ID on the day to gain entry.
  • Disabled adult & disabled child – Includes free adult carer. Carers get free entry to all exhibitions and a ride on Mail Rail.
  • Royal Mail staff – Must show valid ID on the day to gain entry.

Exhibitions only

  • Adult (16+) – One adult Exhibitions only ticket includes entry for up to four accompanying children.
  • Child (1-15) – Children under 1 do not require a ticket.
  • Concession (60+ and students) – Must show valid ID on the day to gain entry.
  • Disabled adult & disabled child – Includes free adult carer. Carers get free entry to all exhibitions, including the Accessible Mail Rail Show.
