What’s on

Here’s what you can get up to this festive season.

Mini Makers: Design Your Own Lino Print!

Saturday 30 November, 7 & 14 December
10:00-16:00, drop-in

Included in museum ticket

Join us in this fun arts and crafts activity! Inspired by David Gentleman’s famous “12 Days of Christmas” stamps, you will use lino printing and other craft materials to create your own lino print block.

Whether you want to recreate a partridge in a pear tree, five gold rings, or something of your own unique design; you will craft a print that you can use over and over to make your own pictures and cards. It’s a fun way to make something special to share with the people you know!

Greetings Cards by Black Female Designers

Britain is a multi-cultural society; however traditional greetings cards have not reflected this. Our new display Greetings Cards by Black Female Designers explores the work of three companies: AfroTouch Design, Huetribe, and KitsCH Noir, who are working to produce more inclusive cards.

These greetings cards were selected and purchased for the museum to improve representation within our own collection. The interpretation for the case was produced in collaboration with The Postal Museum’s Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) working group.

We also stock some of these cards at The Postal Museum Shop. Get your own online.

Members help keep The Postal Museum running. At the same time you can receive a range of benefits that include unlimited entry to the museum exhibitions, rides on Mail Rail, entry into Sorted!, priority booking for events and more.
