FAQs

There are spaces which can be used as a quiet space in both The Postal Museum and Mail Rail upon request. If possible, let us know if you think you are likely to need one in advance of your visit so that we can try to ensure one is available.

This can be arranged at the point of booking.

There is a Changing Places toilet on the lower level of the Mail Rail building. It is accessible via a wide flight of 25 stairs that has handrails on both sides or via a platform lift.

There is an outdoor Courtyard at The Postal Museum, and St Andrew’s gardens is a short walk from the museum.

Self-led schools can leave their belongings in our lunch space for the duration of their visit. You will receive the code to access it when your booking is confirmed. During facilitated visits, a member of staff or volunteer will be with you. They will provide you with storage that can be moved between the two buildings for your convenience.

Please read our Terms and Conditions for Schools Museum Visits (PDF). If you need to cancel at short notice, email [email protected] as soon as possible.
