Leave a legacy

Leaving a gift in your Will is a wonderful way to ensure your passion for postal heritage and our nation’s unique history lives on for future generations to enjoy and be inspired by.

Legacy and in-memory gifts make an enormous contribution to the Museum and our long-term sustainability. The Postal Museum is a charity and legacies are an incredibly important source of income for us. They help us to protect and conserve our archive, educate and entertain our visitors, create compelling schools and community programmes and provide learning and research facilities.

We are indebted to you for any help you give to the museum, whatever the size of your gift.

There are a few ways you can consider leaving a gift in your Will. We recommend that you consult a solicitor when writing or amending your Will to ensure it reflects your intentions and is legally valid.

If you would like to remember us in your Will, our team would be happy to talk to you about how your gift could benefit our future work. All enquiries will be treated confidentially.

A Specific Gift (of an item or collection)

If you are thinking of leaving an object or collection of stamps to the Museum in your will, please speak to a member of the Development team first so that our curatorial team can advise us as to whether we can accept the gift.
