Facilities & access

Lockers are available and the maximum approximate size is 60×29.5×27.5cm. A refundable £1/€1 coin is required to operate the locker. We cannot accept any items that exceed the size of the lockers and these items are not allowed onsite. King’s Cross St. Pancras railway station (0.8 miles) offers luggage storage facilities.
Eating & drinking
Take a break with a drink, sandwich, salad or homemade cake in our café conveniently located in The Postal Museum.
Free WiFi is available. Log on to ‘The Postal Museum Public’ and accept the terms and conditions.
Photography & filming
We welcome photography for personal, non-commercial use and encourage our visitors to share their photos on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Photography with flash and of others without consent as well as use of tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited.
Accessible toilets & baby changing
Gender-neutral toilets, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, are located on the ground floor of The Postal Museum and Mail Rail, and the lower ground floor of Mail Rail. A Changing Places toilet is availble to visitors in Mail Rail.
Child-friendly eating & baby feeding
Our cafe serves up healthy options for kids and we also have highchairs. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere. For a bit more privacy, our First Aid Room in Mail Rail can be used to feed your baby if not in use. One of our hosts can help you on the day.
Wheelchair & buggy access
The Postal Museum and Mail Rail exhibitions are completely accessible to wheelchair users. No buggies or pushchairs allowed on the lower ground floor of Mail Rail. Buggy parking is provided on the ground floor alongside coin-operated lockers for storage. Wheelchairs are permitted everywhere in Mail Rail except for the Mail Rail Ride.

The Postal Museum and Mail Rail exhibitions, Discovery Room, Sorted! cafe, and shops are fully accessible to those with physical disabilities and we do our best to accomodate those with visual or hearing impairements. Because of its historic nature, the Mail Rail ride has access limitations.
We aim to make The Postal Museum and Mail Rail as accessible as possible. All disabled visitors can be an accompanying carer for free.Read more
