As part of The Postal Museum’s Victoria 200 month, Curator Joanna Espin will be in the gallery, highlighting the significance of the mail coach guard’s timepiece and the standardisation of time.
Visitors can also drop into the Discovery Room to view original, 200 year old, documents related to mail coach guards and timekeeping. Explore how timekeeping changed within Victoria’s lifetime.
The Discovery Room is open all year round to visitors who wish to find out more about the history of the postal service and study original archive material.
