The Timewaster Letters, written by Robert Popper under his pseudonym, Robin Cooper

Join author, TV writer/producer and performer Robert Popper – and his alter-ego Robin Cooper – in this one-off, not-to-be-missed comedy event at The Postal Museum. Robert will delight and amuse you with weird and wonderful tales from his bestselling Timewaster Letters books, which documented his tongue-in-cheek correspondence with an array of unsuspecting recipients.

Under his pseudonym, Robin Cooper, Robert plagued department stores, hotels, associations, fan clubs and a certain children’s book publisher with hundreds of madcap letters. From Prince Charles to the Peanut Council, Harrods to the British Halibut Association – no one was safe.

As well as being the author of The Timewaster LettersReturn of the Timewaster Letters, and The Timewaster Diaries, Robert co-created BBC 2’s Look Around You with Peter Serafinowicz, produced Peep Show, script-edited The Inbetweeners and The IT Crowd, wrote on South Park, and currently writes and produces Channel 4’s Friday Night Dinner.

Robert will be chatting all things Timewaster with comedy behemoth, Peter Serafinowicz, Robert’s co-creator on Look Around You, and star of SpacedShaun of the Dead, and Amazon’s The Tick.
