Past and present Royal Mail staff are invited to join us at the next Royal Mail Staff Open Day.

Take a ride on Mail Rail, discover the history of the postal service and share the experience with your family and friends.


Admission

  • Booking essential.
  • £1 per person for staff and accompanying family members and friends.
  • Current staff should bring their Royal Mail ID card with them to gain entry.
  • Admission includes entry to all exhibitions, activities and an optional ride on Mail Rail.

About the event

  • At this event visitors can ride Mail Rail, explore the exhibitions and take part in a facilitated arts and crafts activity.
  • The archive will be open to explore.
  • The café and gift shops will be open.

Mail Rail access:

  • The size and design of the ride carriages and the evacuation procedure means Mail Rail is not suitable for all visitors.

Travelling to the museum

  • The nearest step-free station is King’s Cross St Pancras Station which is a 20-minute walk to the museum.
  • Farringdon Station is a 15-minute walk to the museum but does not provide level access.
