The Postal Museum’s Head of Collections Chris Taft presents an illustrated talk on the history of Mail Rail. Drawing on original records from The Royal Mail Archive, the talk will explore the development, design, construction and running of the railway from the early 20th Century through to the end of operations in 2003.

Chris Taft is a historian and Head of Collections at The Postal Museum. Chris has researched widely on the history of the Post Office underground railway and has for over 13 years been involved with a number of projects in the railway, including the development of the Mail Rail visitor attraction.
