Mail Rail event space featuring five people looking around

Test your wits in a one-of-a-kind quiz down in Mail Rail.

The time has come for the very first public event in Mail Rail. We’ve teamed up with Londonist editor-at-large Matt Brown to hosts an evening of fact finding on themes inspired by Mail Rail.

Pit your wits against other teams on subjects such as subterranean London, the incredible history of the postal service and London’s other tube railways. Visitors will be able to explore the Mail Rail exhibition and depot never before open to the public.

The evening will include guest rounds from Mark Mason, author of Mail Obsession: A Journey Round Britain by Postcode, and the forthcoming Question Time: A Journey Round Britain’s quizzes.

Book individually – teams will be made up of no more than six people. Drinks and bar snacks available (not included in ticket price). Oh, and there will be some pretty great prizes too (TBC)!

If you think you know subterranean then prove it!

Sold out!

About your host

Matt Brown has a long history of running fiendish quizzes in unusual locations. He’s served as quizmaster for the Thames Festival on four occasions, dispensing questions while floating down the Thames. He’s held quizzes in churches, a Vietnamese restaurant, Emirates Stadium, quirky museums, on the Golden Hinde, and to a tent full of hungover revellers at Secret Garden Party. This is his first quiz in a former railway depot. Matt is also editor-at-large of Londonist.com, and author of Everything You Know About London Is Wrong, among other books.

N.B. Mail Rail trains will not be operating on the night. You will be free to explore the Mail Rail exhibition and depot to your heart’s content though!
