Discover a new display of letters written by young people during Lockdown, revealing their advice to kids of the future and their experiences of COVID-19.

34 letters, now part of the museum’s collection, show children’s varied experiences of Lockdown across the UK. From how home schooling felt and the power of positive thinking to appreciation of family and learning new skills, there’s something everyone can connect with.

The letters were written by primary and secondary school children to a child in 2030. They were inspired by top letter writing tips from The Postal Museum and the adventures of the Impossible Postal Express, from award-winning author P.G. Bell’s Train to Impossible Places book series. Almost 1500 children wrote in, as part of a project from Usborne, The Postal Museum and the National Literacy Trust.

This display is supported by Usborne.
