This Easter and May half term, join us to explore history, celebrate culture, and create something meaningful together.

Inspired by our new exhibition, Voices of Resistance: Slavery and Post in the Caribbean, we invite families to explore creativity as a form of resistance.

Through hands-on activities, families will learn how art helps people express their creativity, share their stories, and connect with others.

Our new exhibition explores St. Thomas, a Caribbean island home to many expressive murals. Inspired by these murals – and those to be found in the surrounding Camden area – we’ll be creating designs using pictures, colours and messages of joy and activism.
These individual creations will come together to form a temporary collective mural that will symbolise the role of the individual within the wider community, and celebrate the power of murals to express creativity.

Join us for a creative, hands-on activity inspired by embroidery and weaving.

Use weaving techniques to create meaningful words and images that represent personal stories and moments of celebration. Each piece will get added to a larger artwork, showing how coming together can create something powerful. This activity highlights the role of creativity and community in preserving heritage and fostering unity. Celebrate the strength of shared stories!

Enjoy a 45-minute session in our play area for children 8 and under.
