Meet Our Visitor Experience Team

We caught up with our Visitor Experience Team who are busy getting everything ready to welcome first visitors to our new museum this summer.

From hosts, Front of House staff, train drivers to our management, they all will make sure everyone who visits us has a day to remember and keeps on coming back.

Hi there, our names are Tash, Davide and Penny, and together we make up the Visitor Experience Management Team. We come from a variety of different backgrounds – Davide, has previously worked at Buckingham Palace and the Museum of London; Tash has worked at Chessington World of Adventures in a multitude of Roles and I (Penny) have also worked at Chessington, but also at the London Eye – so between us we make a great team with a wealth of experience!

We started with The Postal Museum in February and have been working hard getting everything in place ready for our opening. From train driving, to running assessment centres we have been pretty busy as you can see from some of the pictures! Back in March, we started with our recruitment and we received nearly 500 applications for our 4 different front of house roles, which meant a lot of sifting and assessing for us. Through a series of assessment days and interviews, we whittled them down to 38 fantastic candidates.

And fast forward to the current day, our Front of House team start imminently, so we are currently busying away writing all our various procedures and policies and then planning our training, ready to welcome guests to The Postal Museum in July – we can’t wait to see you all very soon here!
